CALLING ALL

SUPERHEROES!!!

For the last 11 years, the ANNUAL DINNER & AUCTION GALA brought people together to celebrate the tenacity and courage displayed by the ASAPC community, while raising critical funds all to support the CARES FUND, which covers the cost of uncompensated care, so every child receives the necessary therapeutic support they need.

Although we cannot be together in person this year, we can still come together, virtually, as a community, to show support for families and children with developmental delays. We have planned 6 days of digital festivities, including an expansive silent and live auction, inspiring real-live ASAPC Superhero stories, and not to be missed door prizes!!! The event is FREE to attend, so send the link to all your friends and family around the globe!

OCTOBER 12th to OCTOBER 17th, 2020

So, mark your calendars for 8am MONDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2020 when the silent auction bidding begins. Each day new items will be launched and available for bidding. The robust online auction will feature over a hundred items ranging in value available for bidding.

Then, stay tuned 6PM on SATURDAY OCTOBER 17th for an Inspiring & Engaging Live Program offering giving opportunities and Signature LIVE Auction Items!

Once live, the auction can be accessed on your phone, computer, tablet, or any device with internet access here on this website. CLICK HERE to watch live!

Although the auction is FREE this year to attend virtually… YOU MUST REGISTER!

«Host an At-Home Watch Party with your family and friends.

All items will be available for curbside, contactless, OR pick-up at the ASAPC Office on Monday October 19th from 10AM-3PM.

We were so excited to have Emma Jay Byfield preside over our event this year,  unfortunately, she is unable to attend. So we've got the next best option, her brother Nelson Jay! Nelson and Emma have worked together for years raising funds for a wide array of non-profits and he is honored to pinch hit for Emma on this virtual event.

Nelson grew up in Pierce County, attended the Missouri Auction School and graduated form the University of Washington. (Go Dawgs!!!) He holds the Benefit Auction Specialist designation from the National Auctioneers Association, one of just 300 BAS auctioneers in the world! Away from the auction block , you can find Nelson somewhere in the outdoors walking, cycling, skiing or tending the backyard hens!

Welcome Nelson!

About Us

We have been operating in Puyallup as a nonprofit for 17 years and serve children birth to three with special needs. Just as no two children are the same, developmental delays often manifest in various ways; a delay may be identified at birth by a genetic or chromosomal disability (such as Down Syndrome); an unexpected delay may appear as the child grows and milestones fall short; or an unfortunate traumatic event, such as an accident or prenatal drug exposure, may result in a temporary or permanent delay.

More often than ever, with the opioid crisis we are serving babies that have been drug impacted at birth and children who have been subjected to horrible traumatic abuse and removed from their home. Our team of specialists customize a plan, as each child is unique and faces their own set of challenges.

A Step Ahead in Pierce County is one of the region’s most progressive organizations for children ages birth to three who have one or more developmental delays. We provide convenient, home-based therapy and educational services, including speech, physical and occupational therapies and special education. Our team of talented and tenacious professionals work with families as partners, advocates and a support system of care. Our pledge is to unlock the full potential in every child we see.
